It took me 10 years to finish an official first CD and it turned out that was the easy part. A year later and I still don't feel ready to start promoting it but I feel very ready for a party. My guests include Chris Austman, owner of the prettiest man voice in Cowtown, EmRecords who will blow you away with multi-instrumental virtuosity, Scotty Hills the king of northern soul and a special performance by burlesque dancer Rica Shae. Music for the perfect wedding

First of all, there is no one perfect wedding for everyone. Every perfect wedding has only one thing in common; it's entirely unique.
There are however classics. Some things are too good to pass up even if everybody else has already done them.
When it comes to the flowers and cupcakes you're on your own but when it comes to the music ... it's kind of my thing.
My choice for the perfect song to walk down the aisle to just happens to be my favorite song of all time. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" moves jaded people to tears when you play it to a Bride walking down the aisle. I like to play the opening few lines slowly while the Bride is standing by to make her entrance. It builds anticipation while everyone waits for her, looking around, thinking, "Where is she?" After all, shes the star; why not make them wait a little? Then when the chorus hits, she appears. Everybody's eyes well up. It's magic, and it works every time.
When it comes to their first dance many couples ask me if I can learn "their" special song. Learning these new songs might just be my favorite part of the job. I love above all to make a wedding unique but there's nothing wrong with dancing to the greatest "first dance" song of all time which is without question Etta James' "At Last." You could of course get the DJ (me, if I'm playing your wedding) to play Etta's version (it is perfect) but I must say my "stripper rock" arrangement really takes it to another level.
When it's time to get everyone dancing I can't think of anything more perfect than my rocked up/sped up version of The Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love."
For the longest time people would ask me if I'd be insulted if they asked me to play their wedding. I love weddings. I love wedding music. The day I realized that all of my favorite gigs were weddings was when I decided to be the best wedding band in the world: The BEN ROSE Wedding Band.
